Privacy policy
Tipnook calculates tips and splits bills on your iPhone. The app works offline and does not send your bill or preferences to us.
No account. No advertising. No tracking.
What stays on your device
The app saves your last confirmed bill amount, currency, tip percentage, number of people, chosen appearance, and whether you have finished the introduction. These values are stored locally using iOS UserDefaults. The app does not keep a history of bills.
What we collect
The app does not collect personal data or send data to a developer-operated server. It has no account registration, advertising, analytics SDKs, or tracking. It does not request access to your location or contacts.
Copying and saving a bill
Only when you choose to copy does the app put bill text or an image on the system clipboard. Only when you choose Save to Photos does it request permission to add a bill image to your library. It never reads your photo library. You can decline this permission and still calculate and copy bills. If you share the result through another app, that app's privacy practices apply.
Managing your data
Confirming a new bill replaces the previous saved bill. You can change your preferences in the app and manage photo permissions in iOS Settings. Deleting the app removes its local app data; copies you saved to Photos or shared elsewhere remain there until you delete them. System backups are managed by iOS and your Apple settings.
This website and external links
This website uses Umami, hosted at umami.xingkaixin.me, for website traffic analytics. The embedded privacy page does not load the analytics script. The interactive example runs in your browser and does not save or submit its values. Loading this website, including its privacy page inside the app, requires a connection. The hosting provider receives ordinary request information such as your IP address and browser information and may retain access logs. App Store and other external links are governed by their providers' privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
If the app's data practices change, this page will be updated with a new revision date. This policy describes the current version of Tipnook.
