Tip = bill × tip percentage ÷ 100. Total = bill + tip. For a US$86 bill at 18%, the tip is US$15.48 and the total is US$101.48. Split three ways: two people pay US$33.83 and one pays US$33.82. The calculator rounds the tip to the nearest cent before splitting, then distributes leftover cents so the payments add up.
