How the calculator works ↓How the calculator works
Tip = bill × percentage ÷ 100. Total = bill + tip. Split the total among the people paying. The tip is rounded to the nearest cent before splitting, and any leftover cents are distributed one at a time so the shares add up exactly.
This free web calculator uses US dollars and splits the total equally. It does not assign individual dishes, separate tax or service charges, or convert currencies. Enter the amount you want the percentage to apply to; the result adds the tip to that amount only.
| Tip | Tip amount | Total |
|---|---|---|
| 15% | USD 12.90 | USD 98.90 |
| 18% | USD 15.48 | USD 101.48 |
| 20% | USD 17.20 | USD 103.20 |
| 25% | USD 21.50 | USD 107.50 |
These percentages are calculation examples, not recommendations for a country or type of service.
